This morning started with a surprise for the children in Class 8, followed by a similar surprise for Class 7 in the afternoon.
We were greeted with looks of horror, shock, uncertainty and bemusement as we knocked loudly on the window of the classrooms in our full mountain-hiking gear. These were replaced by smiles and, maybe, relief when we explained who we were and why we had arrived at Aberbargoed Primary School. What went well today?
We were very impressed with some of comments we heard as you worked together:
We are really looking forward to Day 2 and will be asking for your advice about the equipment we carry in our rucksacks. Today, we are busy with final preparations for two weeks in Aberbargoed Primary School. We are excited about the opportunity to work with Classes 7 and 8...and we really hope that they can help us with preparations for our next mountain-hiking expedition.
